Boarding Conditions
You agree to provide full, honest and detailed information in the Booking Form about your pet(s). By placing a booking you agree to the conditions set out below:
You are welcome to bring your pet’s belongings but we cannot be held responsible should they become lost or damaged. We do accept beds but they must not be too large to fit into a standard washing machine should they become soiled/muddy.
If you collect your pet before the confirmed end date of your booking you will not receive a refund for any unused days.
The balance must be paid in full at the time of collection.
We will not tolerate any abusive or aggressive behaviour towards our staff. We reserve the right to refuse service to any customer displaying such behaviour.
Your dog must be under control and on a short lead whilst in our car park and reception areas. Please pick up after your dog, poo bags are available from reception.
Cats must arrive an a secure carrier which is in good working order.
You confirm that your pet has not been ill with any contagious disease or condition within the past 7 days and that your pet has received all the necessary vaccinations (annual booster and for dogs also the Kennel Cough vaccination) within the last 12 months and no less than 10 days prior to boarding.
All pets must be up to date with their worming, tick and flea treatments.
Dogs over the age of 12 years will need written confirmation from your own vet confirming that they are fit and healthy enough to stay in kennels.
Pets who have had a surgical procedure within the last 8 weeks prior to the check-in date will need written confirmation from your own vet confirming that they are fit and healthy enough to board.
If your pet becomes unwell or has an accident during their stay we will take them to our Veterinary Surgery, either Court Vets, Stanford in the Vale, or out of hours to Eastcott Vets in Swindon.
You agree for Charney Pet Care Centre and a qualified veterinary surgeon to make any decisions regarding your pet’s health/welfare, providing it is acting in the best interest of your pet. An emergency contact number for you or someone to make decisions on your behalf will be required. You agree to be responsible for payment of veterinary fees incurred upon collecting your pet.
We do recommend that your pet is insured against sickness, accident, injury and third party liability prior to the start of their stay.
You are responsible for any veterinary bills, no matter how they are incurred whilst your pets are in the care of Charney Pet Care Centre.
Any conditions requiring the administration of medicine to your pet must be fully discussed with Charney Pet Care Centre. Dosage rates should be given to staff on check-in day.
During your continued use of Charney Pet Care Centre’s services you agree to keep us informed of any changes to your pet’s behaviour and health. Failure on your part to disclose any matter which might render your pet unsuitable for boarding will amount to breach of conditions and termination of your pet’s stay without refund.
You agree that if in extreme cases your pet is found to be destructive, aggressive, agitated, highly stressed or completely unmanageable we may refuse to board your pet for the remainder of the stay. You or your emergency contact will be expected to provide alternative care. Every effort will be made to avoid such an event by you providing an honest account of your pet and by having a trial stay for us to assess their suitability for boarding.
We are unable to accept dogs that display aggression towards people and/or are subject to the terms of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
Charney Pet Care Centre will care for your pets as you would, and whilst we will make every effort to ensure your pet is cared for to our usual high standards we cannot be liable for loss, injury or death whilst in our care
