Charney Pet Care Centre and Charney Doggy Day Care Centre is licensed by the Vale of the White Horse District council
We were awarded a 5 ★ rating for our facilities on inspection
Stephanie Bliss and Carly Spratley are mother and daughter and head the team here at Charney Pet Care Centre. Stephanie first opened the centre over 30 years ago when Carly was just eight years old. Carly has grown up surrounded by the families dogs, horses and other animals! Unsurprisingly Carly is also passionate about caring for animals and joins her Mum campaigning their Japanese Spitz at dog shows all over the country.
Stephanie Bliss moved to Ivy Cottage in the early eighties. When the family arrived it was just a house with a plot of land to build her dream business.
Over the years the pet care centre has gone from strength to strength and it now has a license to house 60 dogs. We are very lucky to have two large, fully enclosed grass dog paddocks for exercising, 6 acres of fully fenced fields for long walks and a set of agility equipment to add variation to the dogs exercise time.
Our purpose built doggy day care facility provides an open plan area for dogs staying with us for short periods while owners are at work or out for the day. We have three day care areas to allow us to provide day care for dogs of all ages and sizes in a safe and supervised environment.
Professional dog grooming is available in our onsite salon with Sarah Silver who is City and Guilds qualified.
Our team members are all carefully and professionally trained to look after your dogs every need.
The dog boarding accommodation is run by full time team members Roxanne Honey, Kathy Fearn-Webster and Paula Dunn with additional part time staff during the weekdays and weekends.
The doggy day care centre and Charney Rescue is run by Carly Spratley and Katie Mewes.
