Dog Accommodation

Our Boarding Kennels

We are a 5* licensed boarding kennels and have been caring for dogs for over 40 years here at Charney.
We have two large fully enclosed grass paddocks for exercising in addition to 6 acres of fully fenced fields for long walks.

Charney’s purpose built luxury accommodation provides dogs with an indoor heated suite and free access to individual outside covered runs. The accommodation is kept immaculately clean and dry for maximum comfort. We provide Kurunda raised dog beds with Profleece bedding to keep your dog warm and cosy. Dogs are exercised twice daily come rain or shine in our fully enclosed grass exercise paddocks.

Feeding

Please bring your dogs own food whether you feed kibble, raw or fresh food. This ensures they remain settled on their normal familiar diet.

Please ensure you bring enough food for the entire stay, and a little extra in case you are delayed and they need to stay with us for an extra day or two.

It is best not to bring your dog with you for the viewing as this can be a little unsettling for the dogs staying at the time.

elderly and anxious dog Boarding

Welcome to a home-from-home designed especially for smaller dogs who need a little extra care.

Our 5* licensed home boarding provides a calm, safe, and nurturing boarding environment tailored exclusively for small breed, elderly, and anxious dogs. Here, your dog is cared for by our experienced team where their comfort, routine, and wellbeing come first.

We understand that older dogs and those with sensitive temperaments need more than standard care. That’s why we offer gentle handling, consistent routines, and plenty of one-to-one attention throughout the day. Whether your dog requires medication, a special diet, extra reassurance, or simply a peaceful space to relax, every detail is thoughtfully considered.

Our home boarding area is carefully set up with cosy resting areas and secure surroundings. We keep numbers small so each dog receives the time, patience, and affection they deserve.

Our home boarding is available to small breed elderly and anxious dogs only.  New dogs must first be evaluated with a one night trial stay to ensure they are suitable and that they settle well before booking any longer stays.
